This Leafs fan may agree...... but then again, Tofolli garnered a pair of 2's fron Vancouver last year. Palmeiri is an upgrade, but with Kerfoot, not sure a 1st is completely necessary. Really depends on if there is a trade market.

For that package however, I would suggest Kerfoot for Iafallo..... but that's me.

Devils don't need Kerfoot in the deal. I would say 1st and 3rd for Palmieri (retained) is what the Devils would be looking for.

"How much farther can this Leafs team advance in the playoffs". Well they might not make past the first round with these trades. Bennett is 4th maybe a 3rd line winger...but certainly not a capable centre.
Palmeiri is nice, but not so far this season. Then they is the Covid restrictions. Really the trades don't help the Leafs on the ice now and to lose those picks too. Bennett won't be qualified at his salary, way to much to give up for in effect two UFAs who don't really add to the team.

after giving up 2 2nds and a 4th, not sure the team is any better... Albeit a lack of secondary scoring (not lacking recently) this leafs team is deep all over. If there was ever a year to just roll with the team you have, this might be it. Wouldn't be surprised if management knew in season trades would be hard so prepared before the season to ride it out with the roster they have.
