We all know we have struggles at center. How do we fix it?

We all know the Kreider and Trouba deals aren't perfect, to say the least, so how de we navigate around them in the years to come?

Do we bridge or lock up Shesterkin?

Do we even extend Zibanejad?

What about Buchnevich?

You can add even more talking points that we could discuss

I think we have to fix it internally (banking on chytil)

We use them until we don't need them anymore cross the bridge of dumping them when we get there or sell high when possible

What we need to talk about is developing an identity in our bottom and getting our top 6-9 hierarchy set in stone

Fixing top 6 center holes are so difficult. You have to wait until a Pierre-Luc Dubois is available or draft one. Might need to run this season down to get one.

Kreider should be shopped, if not traded, just keep both until they are movable or figure it out down the road. Personally don't mind Trouba but Kreider should be moved.

Shesterkin will determine that by seasons end. I think it's gonna be a bridge.

Trade like we did Brassard or extend.

I'd keep Buchnevich. He's finally turning into a developed prospect, and he's bought into Quinns system. He plays tough, forechecks, defensive game is greatly improved including killing PPs, can slot up and down the right side...
With the cap stagnant, he should be staying for ~$5m per, which is a keeper in my book. I'd re-evaluate moving him when Kakko, Lafreniere and Kravtsov are doing more than Buchnevich. Before then, I'd only move him for a big upgrade at C.

Acquire Eichel, Pettersson or Barkov. We have the ammo to do so.



Both are worth every penny and aren't dead weight so we could easily move them if needed.

Should we trade Blackwell while he is hot? Or lock him for a few years?

3 years only buys 1 UFA year of shesty, should be a 1 year bridge to his final RFA year or 6-8 years right away

8 years for mika is insanely risky, should be 6 max

Tank and get one in the top of the 2021 draft is the easiest and most effective fix.
