why would you split up 92-14-17

Man oh man do I really like the fact you have noticed Evans and would move him up to the 3rd line. I have been saying this for 2 weeks. It sucks the border is closed and we have this darn covid, because I have been saying for 2 full years to move Danault. He was the #1 C for 3 full seasons and the most he had was 13 goals. There is only 1.9% difference in face off wins between Danault and Evans. If covid was not here and border open I would trade Danault now. So for this year, keep him and then trade him at seasons end.

Finallyyyy someone who isn't riding KK's you know what! He has been subpar for a while, even in last years play-in/playoffs where he had 4 goals yes but 2 of which literally just bounced right off of him... I can't believe Berg wldn't have offered a bit more than just Mete with him to acquire Dubois : (

He has the balance of a 12 year old, it was funny the first year when the baby giraffe was ending up on the butt but it's his third year now... It isn't something super hard to fix but ffs put some time on that. He has a hell of a slow release like he was trying to fire a ****ing trebuchet or something.


Because I don't I can't make the playoffs if only one of my line is producing, I'll take the risk/reward to split them so them can turn on other guys.


Even if we wanted to trade him he's too valuable right now, you can't go with three rookies without a mentor (And I'm not talking about a fourth line center there) and hope they sail themselves in the correct direction. Since I've seen Evans played in his first AHL season (I actually went at the Place Bell and saw him play) I upgraded his ceiling to a 3C. His biggest knock was his skating which he improved year in year out since the Notre-Dame years. Leadership check, work ethic check, 200 feet game check, he brings everything to the ice but also doesn't offer any wow factor which tells me 3C is a likely ending spot for him. I don't have any NHL comparables to his ceiling but I'll try to find one soon.

I know CBJ wanted suzuki, but Berg offered KK and Mete... it wlda been nice if he threw in a draft pick and we'd have PLD rn ;'(

but you are speculating. Maybe he did add two draft picks and CBJ said look I have Laine and Roslovic, so it is Suzuki or I go with the Jets offer. We do not know. I was on the inside and often the public got it wrong. So it is what it is and you go to war with the horses you have!

I know I'm obviously speculating Jarmo wld accept the addition of a draft pick plus Marc's offer, isn't that what this whole site is based on..? O_o

But yeah nobody in their right mind wld trade Suzuki for PLD at this point... if they really wanted Dubois and he wants to play for MTL as bad as he says he does, they'll just sign him to an offer sheet come summer of 2022
