One last retool

Created by: MTLaveragefan
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 12, 2021
Published: Feb. 12, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think it is time to move on from Price and Weber.

The trades are not really an indication of value, Don't comment on the trades themselves, but more on the idea of retooling.

    Price has a full NMC.
no one to replace Weber at 2RD so thats not smart either.
    Flower worth more most likely.

I agree with the first two parts. But Vegas couldn’t give Fleury away even when they attached a 2nd this summer. How does he all of a sudden have value now?

Price might waive to go win somewhere else. Nothing is impossible. I just thing it's time to move on. Also, I signed Hamilton as#1RHD. I would replace Weber for that... its about retooling, not crashing and burning like Detroit.

hi MTLAVERAGEFAN, maybe no retool is needed as MTL can win the SC already this season
    they're pretty good so far

    Hi Pete,

I don't know, they do have some depth, but saddly, a generalized lack of talent. We win because we outwork teams. The problem is when we meet another hard working team with more talent, we get beat.

Our playstyle seems to have been figured out by the other teams now. I am afraid we might face a situation were after playing the same team so many time, all team will develop a wait to counter our system. From there, individual talent make the difference.... I just don't see it.
