Is worth a salary going back such as Vesey, and a couple draft picks... a 2nd and a 4th perhaps. With them retaining salary. In previous deals Pearson cost Pittsburgh Hagelin (a 3rd liner) and then cost Vancouver Gudbransson (a 5-6 dman). In neither of those deals was Pearson a rental... so no chance Leafs would pay substantially more than those prices even with retained salary

Pearson is 2 years removed from being traded for Gudbranson, man his stock has risen.

Too much imo.

I'd give Hållander+2nd.

Also TOR can't move Engvall without bringing in another forward under contract. Otherwise they don't fill the exposure requirement rules for the ExD.

I'm not sure your rational makes sense. Pearson wasn't playing well and had 3 years remaining on his salary when LA traded him. He's found his game and doesn't have term.

That said, your offer of Vessey+ 2nd + 4th is reasonable.

Logic makes perfect sense... why would a team pay more someone thats a rental than when Pearson had a multi year contract? That team control would indicate a higher price tag was warranted.
