Umm...guys this is a straight up MAF for Broberg (his prospect value has been going sideways rather than up) and Smith (negative trade value on him too)....the Oil will have to add a 1st and 2nd RD pick to get rid of Neal.

If this is what you're giving to get rid of Neal... Yikes is all I have to say. MAF is a decent goalie but he makes 7 freakin mil. Why not just buy out Neal and take the 4m in savings?

Mikko Koskinen isn't Miika Kiprusoff. The Oil are doomed to fail with him.

Maybe with Burke as GM he'll just play this season out and evaluate in the off season...maybe make a push for Fredddie Anderson as an UFA or see if any trades will happen on the cheap side with the fear of the Kraken coming.

He's not the goalie for the future anyway. They're going to keep him for the last year and sign a guy for around 3 M on a short term deal. Konovalov is a couple years away I think. So a UFA on a 3 year deal or so makes sense.
