Yes I am going to abuse the fact that you can get double retention in this post. No you cannot stop me. Yes the Leafs are doing well, but I think they need another top 6 or at least top 9 F, and I am bored.

don't need him but this team would be unstoppable. We need another middle 6 F, ideally a top 6 F, but Hall would be overkill in the best way possible

They’ll still get run over the second they face a team south of the border because they’re leakier than the Iraq navy.

Also think that if the leafs are going to get double retention, they’ll need to give up more than that.

This.

The leafs really have no interesting trade pieces for any other team, not just the sabres, to consider making big deals.

Why are your fans constantly trade Liljegren, and why can't he make his way to your squad, given the poor depth of the RDs? Is there something wrong with him? I already said that Liljegren simply does not suit us because of the position.

Kinda crazy to think Wennberg can fill Kerfoot's role just because they play the same position. Wenneberg has been bad for two years.
What's the fascination with Hall? One goal this season.

You may have a point, but Liljegren is 21 years old and has just one less goal than Hall has this season.

Do u always use such small sample sizes to form your opinions?

What is right, I asked why Liljegren is constantly on the block? I didn't talk about Hall. Even if he has one goal, he has a lot of assists and good plays, and at the same time he still does not play 100 percent of his capabilities, not even 80, like Eichel.

I don't know why so many want to to trade Liljegren. His progression is as good/the same as other Dmen selected in the same draft about where he was picked. There were 6 Dmen picked in a row.
Leafs will likely need LIljegren next season with Bogosian, Lehtonen being UFAs and probably one of Holl or Dermot being selected by Seattle. Yea, I was being a little silly in my Hall argument, and obviously he would be better than the Leafs LWer he replaces, but geez there is limit on what any team is going give up for him, especially for a player who IMO isn't really a difference maker.

Why the hell is Bogosian locking up your young player? Confused I'm not saying that Hall should get your best prospect, and I didn't even say that Liljegren is a bad prospect, we just don't need RDs prospects, Borgen doesn't play here because the previous GM traded a lot of RDs to the team, and Borgen is soon 25 years old , also in Rochester is playing an interesting prospect RDs Oskari Laaksonen, I think they will be somewhat similar to Liljegren. And to say that we have 2-3 prospects in RDs in Europe.

Also, your first round will probably be very late, which is a little confusing too. Therefore, I offered a choice of one of Amirov, Robertson or Sandin.

???? What an imagination you have. Bogosian isn't "locking up" Liljegren. Fact is Keefe thinks Bogosian is better than Liljegren right now, so Bogosian plays. Bogo has played well.

That's why I was surprised, usually Bogo didn't play very well.

Would Hall for Nick Robertson or Rasmus Sandin work for both teams?
What would the Leaf's need to add for either player?

Not willing to trade one of those two for a rental. That's a non-starter for me, especially when we know for a fact that Toronto has no hope of resigning Hall

Any easy no from the Leafs...partly cap reasons, but really is Hall THAT much of a difference maker? No, Leafs need the ELC contracts of Robertson and Sandin this year and in next few years.
Gotta think Sabre fans are going to disappointed with the return that get when Hall is traded. IMO not many suitors.

Any of Robertson, Amirov or Sandin will work for Buffalo. If Toronto is unwilling to trade any of them, then they are bad trading partners for Buffalo.

OK, fair enough.
I proposed those two prospects in response to @MitchMarner_16 "The leafs really have no interesting trade pieces for any other team, not just the sabres, to consider making big deals."
I also agree that the market will be very small for Hall even at 50% retained.
This is really not bad Liljegren, Hållander, and 2021 1st round pick (TOR) (I dropped the early 4th and late 3rd as they most likely nearly the same pick)
We all seem to forget Hall came to Buffalo as a gift, nearly any return is more than they would have had without him.

That to me is too many futures to give for Hall...and then the cap doesn't work. Actually someone just proposed a Hall for Nylander. Now I like that better as Leaf. Players might be of equal value but the Leafs get 7m cap relief for three years, and would hope to spend 7m better than Nylander.

I would do Taylor for Willie any day of the year.
Most Sabre fans would probably say no.
Did you say this was posted by a Leaf's fan?
What is the URL?
I want to read what other Leaf fans have to say.
In fact IMHO Buffalo would need to add.
Skinner Eichel Reinhart
Olofsson Cozens Nylander
Would be a solid top six for the next 5 years.
