I agree though I personally think he is not an ideal candidate to play in the top 6 for any team Babcock really likes him and seem to think he has alot of upside. So odds are Hyman will not be traded this offseason or deadline. But if we are still in the bottom 10 at the deadline I could see Bozak being talked about. I like him but if they truly want Nylander at center he is the odd man out.

Hammond went unclaimed on waivers, and now the Leafs give up Hyman? If Hammond is that good, then he might be claimed by the Vegans, and the Leafs still don't have Hyman.
hockeymad: I like Bozak too, IF, the Leafs trade him they better be sure of their centre position, because just getting a pick for someone who might be Leaf in four years, doesn't help this year and next year.

Well this trade is pre expansion draft. Leafs can be in the playoff hunt this year so a #2 goalie could be required. Bibeau is not that. He is a project.

Not sure how many times this has to be explained. When players are sent down they often go unclaimed only to then be traded. Things change. Enroth was still up with the big club. Come deadline time we might be looking for a backup goalie.

If hammond is "that good". Who said he was good? We get him for a very small price. There are 100 Hymans to go around, we get a late pick and we get rid of Michalek to keep him happy and not spoil the kids in the AHL.
