We're not a bad team. We hadn't played a game in a week so naturally there's going to be some rust. It looked like we knocked a lot of it off by the third period, but of course it was too late by then. As long as we get more of a 60 minute effort consistently, I'm not worried about this team right now.

im frustrated that other teams have figured out that playing their younger players is the way to go and the Capitals have a few gems we refuse to play. The offensive group imo are g reat but our team defense is lackluster. Siegenthaler should be playing every night and imo Fehérváry should get some NHL minutes. Jensen should be waived and either Orlov or Siegenthaler can play RSD

This is a take I typically agree with 10000%, but I haven't seen the individual performances be that bad. I've been very critical of Jensen the last few years, but he hasn't been awful so far. I thought TVR was much better than Jensen though, so I'd rather see him in the lineup. Siegenthaler looked strong when he was in the lineup, but who do you take out for him then? Chara could come out because he's had some bad turnovers, but he's also shut down a lot of potentially dangerous chances, so it's tough for me to definitively say he should come out. I wholeheartedly agree that Fehervary is ready for NHL minutes. But we just have so many NHL defensemen, which isn't a bad thing. For a few games, we can definitely tweak the lineup around. I'd like to see all of TVR, Fehervary and Siegs get more games in. But if we're trying to put our best lineup out there, this is what I'd go with.

9-2
33-57

Siegs is the next guy in. I wouldn't mind seeing him go in for Z, but I think this is the best D we can have.

Granted I could not watch the game on Sunday, so remember that before reading the rest:
I think Jensen has played very well so I am not sure why we would waive him. He has played well so far, including a very solid game against the Flyers (2/7) saving 2 goals and generating offensive looks.
That being said, I do agree younger guys should be getting some looks and agree that we have too many dmen

jensen would need to be waived to make room for MF. imo TVR is the better player of the 2 so Jensen would be odd man out

Fair and understandable - although Jensen with another solid game last night. Maybe Lav's system is starting to work for him...? (being hopeful here maybe)
