Habs and Leafs wouldn't do a big deal anyhow so why bother.

People don't take too much stock in the trade values...I was simply trying target 1 player from each team...since the covid restrictions will make trading with an American team more difficult at the tradeline....

Flames can have Kerfoot, Mikhey or Dermott but you'd just laugh at that....

Note: if you see a better player to target let's talk...enough of the bashing...gees.

So you have Bennett as the fifth centre for the Leafs.....where he would fit, and give up first for him.
Larsson couldn't crack the Leafs top 3 RHD...and you give up first for him.
The other trades....too much for money leaguers or AHLers. Leafs already have those types of players

A small trade could happen for the playoff contenders, just to unload or add to prepare for the Kraken. As of right now, the Leafs only have 1 forward (Engvall) under contract be expose, unless Kerfoot goes on the list, and rules stats you need 2 NHL forwards under contract to expose. Probably means the Leafs play Petan in more games so he qualifies to the Draft.

I understand there is occasionally some truculence here on this site, but you have to admit, we see the same tired and unlikely trades over and over, that we just stop posting "pass". Then we see someone else with the same trade stating they saw someone else post it and no one disagreed.

Then there's the fans that wants another teams good player, and is willing to give 6 crap players for him. What a bargain!!

As for your, "Flames can have Kerfoot, Mikhey or Dermott but you'd just laugh at that", there's a reason they laugh, so why even suggest it?

Hab fans have been trying to trade Byron to Ottawa for I don't know how long now, not because he's a good fit in Ottawa, but because they don't want him, like Kerfoot, Mikheyev, or Dermott in Toronto, and before that Komarov, among others, and they figure, Byron was born in Ottawa, they suck, trade him there. We've had a run on Pettersson trades to Ottawa recently. Two months ago when Ottawa needed a LD, we wondered about Pettersson, but he wasn't available according to them, but now that the Sens don't need him, suddenly Pittsburg fans can't stop trying to send Pettersson to Ottawa, again and again. This causes repeated discussions, then arguments, and it becomes nonsense.

My advice, unsolicited, is to think about the other team before you think about your own. Ask yourself, who truly needs Kerfoot, I mean truly needs him, and start there.

Guys you’re being a little harsh. He just through out some potential trade targets and wondering what the value would be to get them. He hasn’t proposed trading any picks or assets. Just trying to fish for ideas.

I for one don’t want Bennet. I don’t think Larsson is as bad as oiler fans make him out to be. But we don’t currently need him. Lindgren isn’t much of an upgrade over Hutchinson. Virtanen please no.

I get annoyed at the Byron trades as well but from a Montreal standpoint because Montreal is a better team with Byron than Without Him maybe not on paper but in practice as Montreal's winning percentage decreases by roughly 20 percent when byron isn't in the lineup

I understand what you're saying, but that's this season, and you have to admit, he isn't the player he was 2 seasons ago at age 29, when he deserved that contact.

Byron has two more seasons left on this contract, at ages 32 and 33, which doesn;t sound horrible, but he's already in a steep decline at 31.

It's rough watching our favourite players decline. Alfredsson was a point per game player, yet his final four seasons were well below his standards, and he knew when to quit. He could have played a few more seasons, padded his totals a bit more, but he called it, and Byron is fast approaching that moment. Maybe not this season, but soon.

Yeah I agree he isn't the same but that win percentage difference is actually throughout his full-time in Montreal.

I had to do a quick edit after the first few replies...I did throw out 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th Rd trades values on the players, than a shat storm hit so the true conversation was lost.

The conversation on why the Habs Lindgren why I seriously doubt either team would wanna trade with their rival period,

I don't see any playoff NHL ready players on the 'Nucks...which is funny when they got further in the playoffs than the Leafs. Actually I like Motte.
