Very late 1st rounder probably is not enough for Rakell. Niemi is a B prospect (maybe B-) and Envall is Leaf's fans this year's version of Bracco

Basically what pit did in 2016 running a third line of hagalin-Bonino-Kessel. They spread out their 3 star forwards on different lines creating a nightmare for the opposition to match up against.

I agree but I’d rather go light on the trade then get roasted by a bunch of leafs fans

Rakell is probably not the best fit for the Leafs, but even then because the it's a late 1st, you're probably adding a A- propsect

At this point I would argue that a Crosby/Malkin/Kessel for the Leafs is Matthews/Marner/Nylander. Tavares has not been his usual self this year at all

Heres the thing. If Dubas was to make this trade leafs would 100% lose Robertson and a 2021 1st along with dump in engval. Would I do it yes, but are there risks involved also yes. Robertson could be one of those players we look back on and go why did we trade him

but hey Rakell-Kerfoot-Hyman could work (this would be the HBK line for the leafs)
