Description

I don't know if I am insane with the Zaitsev move, but I feel like his value has never been higher. Salary between him and Neal is the same over the next 4 years, and you save yourself from one year of Zaitsev. Oilers get an upgraded player who can play in their lineup, and get out from Neal's contract. Ottawa can buy Neal out for further cost savings if they want to. Or....maybe I'm high.....

Edmonton doesn't need another RD and I rather keep the first round pick. I hate trading away early round picks.

Given Tierney has the extra year at a very reasonable hit, the Sens should be able to get more than just a 2nd for him. I'd be looking for a 2nd + 3rd at the very least. Not like they have to trade him either.

You're probably right. Just thought if you were to trade him, now would be the time. Not to wait until his contract is a an even bigger problem.

Montreal isn’t the best fit for Tierney, since he’d be playing on the 4th line. Although I guess the habs might do this if one of our top 3 centres gets injured, and if you swap Frolík for Verbeek.
