Detroit passes on the first 2 trades, And Djoos is still an RFA after this season so i doubt Yzerman would trade him.

No Sabre fan that I've seen, certainly not worried about spending assets to move him. Hes played well but has been extremely unlucky

Why would TO trade a younger better defenceman for Djoos and an old vet we don't need because we already have a bunch? Detroit would absolutely make that deal.

That Skinner contract is simply not moveable. Some will point to Skinner being unlucky but at 9M in a salary cap world, you can’t afford to be unlucky when you’re a goal scorer. Let alone paying him 10M a year for the foreseeable future in this economy. Ironically, his concussion history might make him go LTIRetire (extremely small chance given his age and contract duration). You simply don’t pay this kind of money for a winger unless they’re a Panarin, Kucherov, or Marner level guy that can drive insane amounts of offense. His utilization this year also isn’t doing him any favors.

I remember when we got him thinking concussions might be an issue, it turns out he did have a few, but years have passed and he's been pretty durable. Okposo on the other hand...

If i'm trading Svech to Carolina it's not going to for a guy playing in the KHL. I'd want something around Svech+ for Morgan Geekie something along those lines.

They are almost identical except Svech was a 1st rd pick and Korshkov was a 2nd rd pick. I know draft position doesn't mean a whole lot at this point but their AHL ppg is almost identical it is a comparison point. Svech has more pro experience 20 NHL games and 185 AHL games and Korshkov has 1 NHL game and 44 AHL games. It's a lateral move and in most cases it's best to stick with what's familiar this is Svech's 4th year in Detroit playing in the Detroit's system. Two more things to consider would Carolina even make this move. Yzerman obviously has plans for Svech or he would have let him go to the KHL and if he was just going to trade him why resign him he's more valuable without a contract since he is an RFA.

I'm not sure why Toronto would do this but why don't you ask the person who created this because he is a Leafs fan.
