not that it will ever really happen, but I would find it hard to believe the Sabres could get a higher quality piece than Dach coming back from another team

I think the implication would have to be they would to be fair. There’s far better that they could get than dach, just maybe not at that age bracket. It’ll never happen as you said, cuz it’s way too much, but there’s far better they could get. An eichel to Montreal one would be way better for Buffalo should the centerpieces were Suzuki and caufield instead of Dach and boqvist.
