I like the Montour deal and i think some of them you're close on them to being fair, such as the Brett Pesce deal. But the ones that are off are the Forward signings. Danault is definitely worth more then that, he's a great 2 way player, which brings me to Blake Coleman. Coleman was traded for a 1st rounder last season and is one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL, he's worth way more then that contract and will be paid as such. as for the other deals I do like the Georgiev one, and I like the contract for Holloway but i feel like playing him already would be too fast for him, no need to rush him!

Pesce deal is no where close.

CAR does not want to move him at all. To entice them you have to make it worth their while. A ho-hum D and a 1st doesn’t get the conversation started.

Seems like you are paying 3rd liner Patrick way too much. Surely there will be a UFA at 3.75m of better value and then you can keep your first rounder

Almost every team out there would put in a better offer to Danault.

"Doesn't get the conversation started" Come on now, MAYBE Waddell counters this offer but I think its pretty rich to say he just hangs up and forgets about it.

Please explain how that offer makes the Canes better? I’ll wait...

I was referring specifically to your assessment that the offer "Doesn't get the conversation started". Thats ridiculous, it's a fine offer to start a talk that may or may not result in a trade. Please tell me what offer gets the conversation started and remember it's not the Canes making the offer to themselves. I'll wait....

The trade makes no sense for the Canes, so yes, the offer is crap and would not get the conversation started. The point of discussing a trade is to make your team better. In no universe is Bear a replacement for Pesce. The future 1st also does nothing for the Canes, who are playing to win today.

So yes, that offer would get laughed at. You trying to defend it is equally laughable.

I wouldn't trade Bear for Pesce straight up. He plays harder minutes and gets better results - and even has some offense, too. Not to mention he's cheaper and younger. No deal.

Beg to differ there bud, makes no sense from a Canes perspective. No remnant of such an offer would linger in the mind of Waddell.

The point is that the trade in no way makes the Canes better. If the offer is crap, no need to entertain it, or your lame attempts at circle-jerk arguments.
