I dont think this is a trade that will end up happening, but if the habs were to make a serious offer i think it would look something like this. Theres a few d prospects that could replace Harris but i think he would be the one both sides could settle on.

For the Byron deal at this point i would give a second and a third to see him and more importantly his contract gone

Ehh...it's better than some offers I've seen here, but I think Preds could do better than this.

If the pick was moved to a 2nd rounder i would agree, I think the price will be pretty high, also why i dont think it will happen but was going for a more realistic offer than most that i have seen posted today

Even though we dont really need another LHD, I would rather go after Chychrun (if possible). Hes young and on an awesome deal for 5 more years. ARZ might want some high picks and prospects (in order to make up for the lost of their first round picks

That was also my point with the prospect being interchangable, Caufield excluded, but i think Norlinder and Guhle have more value than Harris and might not include a 1st rounder in that package.

Ekholm is one of the most underrated d-man in the league. Top 5 defensive d-man and he's not just a rental since he has an additional year on his deal. It's one of those 3 prospects + a 1st as a starting offer. Jake Muzzin got right around the same when he got moved and had same term. Ekholm is miles better than Muzzin defensively so the prospect has to be a top tier one

Fair but just because the leafs overpaid for Muzzin doesnt mean i would want to let that deal set the market. I think its probably a fair offer of Guhle or Norlinder and a 1st for Ekholm i'm just not sure MB would pull the trigger on that, the extra year under contract at a steal definitely helps Nashvilles negotiating position. And i agree Ekholm is grossly under rated.

I don't see how Toronto overpaid for Muzzin. They gave up a late 1st, a B- prospect in Grundstrom, and a C prospect in Durzi. For a top 4 physical d-man that can still put up numbers and be a leader in the room for a year and a half minimum. That was a great deal for both sides.

I like Norlinder as much as anyone but im not sure he has the same value as those other two. If Norlinder needs to be involved instead of Harris, im perfectly fine with that.

With that said im not in favor of going after Ekholm. I dont think hes the right type of player that is needed if were paying for a big name dman.
