MTL is clearly overpaying... Even more than any of those teams. This is even worst than the previous Crosby trades post cmon

Remove the 1st for the NYR trade as he isn't looking his usual self and his contract doesn't have term. IMO

34 year old, 9.5 mil, already regressing. For sure worth a young #1 D, a top prospect, a good roster player, and picks. Take out Ekblad and Tippett, change 3rd to 2nd and it's a deal.

2 or 3 years too late to get those returns.
Geno is in decline, currently at a rapid pace.
Most of the teams listed would have bbn interest, but even in Pitt they know they would be lucky yo get half of any one of these trades.

Geno is no Sid.
