    Notable exposures :
Allen, Edmundson, Chiarot, Kulak, Byron, Fleury

Leaving Fleury unprotected is saddening, but if Mete can keep up his play this year he could make a case for himself to be protected. Losing one of the two 3.5m$ dmen would be a relief cap-wise, but I think they go for Allen anyways.

I mean, love this for wild but they need a goalie to expose. I guess they can sign Andrew hammond's & expose him

I could see Tatar and Danault signing the same AAV to keep the Corsi line intact.

I think that you'd have to re-sign Perry before the XD just to have two qualified forwards to offer Seattle.

Since I'm extending them after the ED, they'd be tempted to see what the market is at. They could get other offers, which will raise their price but could still take small discounts to stay.

Not really, we already have two goalies who qualify for the ED. With the assumption we protected Kahkonen, both Stalock and Talbot would be exposed.

If Guerin felt confident that Talbot wouldn't be taken by Seattle, and given that Kahkonen has been solid so far and has looked comfortable up with the Wild, I could see him moving Stalock.

Mete ? He had one great game ( Against Toronto ), protect Fleury over Mete. Can’t see them protecting him over Fleury Edmundson Chiarot. We want to be hard to play against, Mete isn’t hard to move lol Edmundson is

Since all those UFAs will refuse those numbers (and 3rd line role) and go on the market, you wont have to blow up half the defense et get cold meat to fill the bottom of the roster.

Mete's floor is Mete now. Whether he can improve or not, he remains how he is rn and I don't know if Fleury can be as good. Tougher yes, better idk. Seattle will already have dozens of good established dmen to choose from and they are likely to take Allen anyways. Idk if Edmundson will be that hard to move, he's been good so far and if Bergevin decided to trade for his rights, it's because he expected a bidding war for him.

The second and third lines are likely to get similar ice time. I don't if they'll get much better offers. Tatar is on the wrong side of his 30s and Danault doesn't have the dream start to the season. What exactly is the cold meat here?

Seattle will have planty of better LHD available than Mete
      Young RHD, probably none

I was saying Edmundson is harder to move in game along the board than Mete lol Mete won’t be taken even if he’s not protected

Tatar will be hot commodity, like Schwartz, Hall, Hoffman, etc.

Danault is Mackinon nemesis, plenty of teams want that. (MIN and CHI by example)

Cold meat are Perry, Huton, Stalock. Mete top 4 🤮

Hot commodity Mike Hoffman got 4x1 last offseason. The market just isn't there for big/long signings. Tyler Toffoli signed for 4.25x4, Tatar being slightly better the contract above is a fair contract.

Mackinnon plays against Danault a handful times a year and it turns out that it was Danault's best nights. His play this year is not warrant of more money/term.

Those "cold meat" are more than fine for the role they play. You're trying to be difficult.

      It's just wishfull thinking man.

Until Bergy signs his 3 UFAs on a discount after hitting the open market, and trade away half the defense core he finally builded up to pay for it, I will be right.

      I like my odds.

Im not saying this will happen, its wishful thinking, i wanted to see how it looks. Also, if Edmundson and Kulak is half a defense core, theres something wrong with it.

Not crazy about term with Edmundson, would like to see Reunanen, Robertson and maybe one of Schneider or Lundkvist move to the left side within the next 2-3 years. I do think he'd compliment Nils very well next year on the bottom pair though, def an improvement over Smith and JJ.
