DAL would definitely not be doing that deal. Honka is a very good prospect. Not worth it for them to dump salary for no reason. Lindberg (either a 4th liner or career AHLer) and a 2nd for Honka is how you need to look at it here. Disgusting.

The other deals could be fair value. Not sure why CHI would want to add Corrado though when their D is crowded and they have Pokka ready.

I feel like the Leafs see a lot of value in Lindberg, since it's believed they passed on other possible deals for Phaneuf not only because teams wouldn't take the full cap but because the Leafs were really high on Lindberg, so I'm not sure they make that trade. I see no understanding in the Leivo and Corrado for Krueger trade, not without a pick or a prospect thrown in as well. That's a big cap that I feel Chicago might be willing to get rid of with Panarin needing a contract, but the Leafs are going to be in a crunch when they have his cap hit and need to sign players to contracts as well. It's a bad contract IMO and I think it'll take more for the Hawks to get rid of him.
I just don't see the need for some of these trades, really.

Leafs certainly need the cap hit of Kruger. Have Lehtonen would mess up the cap for a year, but certainly Honda would be nice. But if Dallas has survived, cap wise with Lehtonen, they would likely not want to trade Honda.
Like the attempt though.
