50 Million for 7 Years
Just want to say this is what I think Nuge will get, and not what I think he should get.
Ideally they could come to an agreement and wait to sign after expansion. Further to that, Oilers could make a case for Klefbom to be exempt for the expansion draft. So assuming those, Oilers could protect:
McDavid
Draisaitl
Puljujarvi
Yamamoto
Nurse
Bear
Lagesson
Jones
Koskinen

If they buyout Neal, they could spend
6 M for a Top 6 Winger
5 M for a Top 4 D
2 M for a 3 C
3 M for a Goalie
Would leave them about 2 M in cap space with Klefbom on LTIR.

Has Lagesson been that good? Also, you think they leave Klefbom unprotected? I know he has been out all season and wont play at all, but he was their best dman last season. I am sure Seattle would take a chance on him if he's left exposed.

Depends how the rest of the season goes but at this moment probably Lagesson.

Klefbom can go if they select him. They can’t have a guy who they don’t even know will play or not. They have to save cap for him even when he’s on IR.
