heres some fun. I did a simulation on Laf from the bubble teams who could have got him and the results were the following (just an estimate based on Data)

If Toronto got him he would have 20 goals and 45 assists in 56 games playing with Matthews and Marner or 18 goals and 40 assists with Tavares and Nylander
If Florida got him he would have had 18 goals and 30 assists playing with Barkov and Duclair
If Edmonton got him he would have had 22 goals and 50 assists with Mcdavid and Draisaitl
If Pittsburgh got him he would have 20 goals and 35 assists with Crosby and Kapenan or Malkin and Zucker
If Winnipeg got him 19 goals and 34 assists with Scheifele and Connor

Now if Minissota or Nashville got him his situation really would not change much as compared the rangers
Nasville was 13 goals and 29 assists with Duchene and Granlund
Minissota was low with 14 goals and 25 assists with Ek and Greenway

dont know his pace rn for points but with the rangers based on who he is playing with rn

the guess was 6 goals and 13 assists for 56 games with the rangers.

Kind of was worried this would happen as with the Rangers having Kreider and Panarin, Laf would be forced to play with 3rd liners who are okay but not great. If Laf would just move to RW Panarin could carry him lul.

k if he was with Chytil and Kakko in a 56 game season he would have 13 goals and 25 assists

Well since Dach is out injured and not playing and Lafreniere is (14 games and 1 point) don't get the humor. I can promise is Dach was, he'd have more points as evidence last season.

With Dach and Kane 18 goals and 37 assists
With Strome and Kubalik 16 goals and 32 assists

In general Chicago has the guys who can support him. Kane really has an influence on his production due to being one of the best playmaking wings in the NHL

This trade is nonsense. Send Lafreniere to the AHL to work on his game before he becomes the next Yakupov. As it is Yakupov had a far better rookie season.

As a NJ Devils fan, I fully endorse this soul-crushing, confidence-deflating move by sending "the best prospect since McDavid" to the Rangers' Connecticut AHL affiliate, an organization that has helped produce NHL superstars such as Lias Andersson, Vitali Kravtsov and Dylan McIlrath. Nothing could go wrong.
