& if Montreal were to make an offer, imagine Pittsburgh's reaction when there isn't Romanov and 1 of Suzuki or Kotkaniemi in the deal..

If it’s what Sid wants (remains to be seen), then Bergevin definitely has the assets to adequately compensate the Pens.

It would 100% be based on Sid telling ownership exactly where he wants to go, and the two sides working out something fair. With a player like Crosby though, obviously no player would be completely off the table.

the point of the trade isn't to become bad again. It's to get a star forward, which is what we need. Getting rid of Zukes, KK, or Romanov would set us back big time. I'm lookng for alternatives, like Danault, Caufzi, and Guhle

The habs wouldn't even consider this offer regardless thats a massive amount of assets to give up for a 33 year old even if it is Crosby. I agree Pittsburgh would probably want even more for Crosby and thats also part of the reason why i dont think this deal would ever happen, atleast not for another couple years.
