no. Amirov impressed a lot of leaf fans this pass WJC, he’s got a great sense for the game, he’s going to be a 2 way beast leafs aren’t trading him for pearson

Not even close. Amirov has a lot of potential and I honestly think Galchenyuk could be a very good pickup if he gets the chance

Not saying I would do it, but it very reasonable offer. Gally is just to even out the cap, and you're trading a guy that can help in the playoffs for the potential of amid first rounder.

no. I've said this before, you NEVER trade any promising prospects for rentals. It never works. I'm not high on amirov, but hes too new to just deal him.

Wish Benning listened to you last year when he made the Toffoli deal

The thing is, the prospects Benning dealt are meh. Their ceiling isnt that high, meanwhile amirov's ceiling hasnt been proved yet

I like the target, but not the price. I'd do it for Liligeren since he's 22, but Amirov is only 19 and will likely be better than Pearson down the road.

I don't think LA feels that way about Madden

This is one of the more reasonable trade posts i've seen for some time. Amirov looked decent in WJC. But how many other players have we said that about that turned out to be AHL or KHL'ers. Amirov is a risk to the KHL. Pearson is a player the leafs need today. Leafs are in today mode. Why not?

Drafting skill is relatively simple. Drafting grinders that can actually contribute is a lot more challenging.

of course you think the bad offers are good, but the good offers are bad. Makes sense now!

it makes 0 sense for the Leafs to give up one of their top 3 prospects for a rental that doesn't even put them over the top.

Gee it's better than 90% of your proposals. Why do you pretend to be a Leaf fan?

Your trade proposal to give up more for 1 point in eleven games Bonimo for a first rounder and more. Geez.

you're joking right? ..

you think it's better to give up one of the organization's top 3 prospects (a guy that they traded Kapanen for), for a rental of maybe 10 games plus whatever playoffs they play, at a position they don't need an upgrade at? When that prospect will likely be better than that rental in about 2-3 years and be much cheaper. Over giving up a late 1st in a weak draft for a rental of an area of pure need (defensive 3C) and that rental is a proven playoff performer? Bonino is MILES better of a pick up than Pearson. And at a better cost that I suggested.

Why do you pretend to be a Leafs fan? Clearly if you're a "long time Leaf sufferer" all that suffering has gone to your head and you don't think clearly. Lemme guess, you're over 50? Maybe over 60? & think Leafs need to play like they last did in 1967 to win?.. sorry, times have changed. Speed is the main component of the game.

Bonino >> Pearson.

If you could read, I said I wouldn't do the deal. But it makes a lot more sense then your crap, wanting to trade a first and more just to get the now awful Bonimo.
Please read what I wrote before you make your stupid, comments. That's how a gutless idiot tries to discuss an argument by not being able to repeat accurately others comments.
I've made told folks on this site my age....but geez you certainly lied to the owners of this site when you claimed to be at 16 years of age...the minimal age.

You said it's a reasonable offer.. when no it isn't. Especially in a season like this.

& again, before you sit there and bash a player for being bad that you clearly haven't watched or looked into, look at the stats. I'll list them again so you don't have to work to find them wink

Bonino as a 3C this year, would be great. To say he's been bad, just shows that you haven't watched or looked into him. Don't care that he has 2 points in 11 games, he's also started 57.7% of his zone starts in the defensive end. He's 55.9% on faceoffs (Kerfoot is at 41%). Bonino's PDO is at 93.6% (anything under 100% says the player is unlucky) which is massively dragged down by his on ice save percentage being 85.9% which actually suggests that the problem has been Minnesota's goaltending, not Bonino. Opposed to Kerfoot who's PDO is at 103.6% (anything over 100% says the player has been lucky), which is helped out by his on ice save percentage being 92.9%, saying that Toronto's goaltending has been better when Kerfoot is on the ice. Do I need to keep going on?

Bonino is a far superior defensive player to Kerfoot, especially at centre. Far.
