It's all about development, his value is not really computable by trade rn. Obviously he has the talent. Will he take the Joe Thornton route or the Nail Yakupov route? Depends on how talented the coaches and team leadership are, and how self motivated and humble he is in understanding even 1st overalls need to improve. Thornton obviously had these factors early in his career (Pat Burns, Ray Bourque, and obviously a lot of perseverance to develop his game), while Yak did not.
