He's untouchable... regardless of his lack of production.... Take a look at how Stamkos started out and how stupid TB would have been to trade him

Try offering Larsson for Laf. It usually works.

Puljujarvi probably. They won't trade him though and the oilers shouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. He needs to go to the AHL and work on his game or stay in the NHL and be the next Yakupov.

NYR wouldn't trade him for any package of scraps you would think of to put together. Offer Draisaitl or kick rocks.

It's all about development, his value is not really computable by trade rn. Obviously he has the talent. Will he take the Joe Thornton route or the Nail Yakupov route? Depends on how talented the coaches and team leadership are, and how self motivated and humble he is in understanding even 1st overalls need to improve. Thornton obviously had these factors early in his career (Pat Burns, Ray Bourque, and obviously a lot of perseverance to develop his game), while Yak did not.

Laf has been very disappointing so far, but NYR isn't going to give up on him just yet. Kakko, too. The NHL just isn't a teenager's league.

Tell me how his first 14 games went.... And what line he was on.... but to answer the question it would take far more than you would give up... more than anyone would give up....untouchable, not because of his performance... just to clear that up

lmao a bust? hes 19 years old give the kid a break. my god the expectations of top 5 players is nuts. Unless you're picking a McDavid, Crosby or Matthews its not likely he will dominate right away. this kid will be dominant for years to come, give him a chance to frigging adjust my goodness.

Oilers need to be looking at and pursue proven talent nothing against laf but paying an arm and a leg for someone that could be a year or two from being a truly impactful player. Truly not knocking laf or discrediting the player think will be great timeline just doesn’t match up.

Rangers should fire all scouts. I forgot how horrible Kakko is

QMJHL is the easiest league. It really offers no competition.

The scouts aren't responsible for development. Rangers haven't bothered to try to develop their top picks, they've shoved them straight into the NHL. It isn't working.
