Ty smith has been amazing for NJ so far, would be stupid for them to trade a position where the lack.
Also Eichel is only 2 years older and has never been under 55pts in his career.....Hischier has only hit 50pts once so far.....Value isn't far off but it's not enough for eichel.

Would have to be more like Mercer, Smith, 1st. either hughes or Hischier.

I think it's not so bad, I like Hischier, although perhaps Hughes was a more logical option for Buffalo. It's just that we'd probably be looking for more offensive prospects than defensive. We have many different defense prospects.

Smith, Hughes and Hischier are going nowhere. Someone will overpay, but won't be NJD.
