Description

Tampa either has to protect 4 D-man, or lose McDonough in the ED. This gives them another option to only protect serg, McDonough, and Hedman while replace Cernak with an ED exempt player. Not sure if it’s the route they’d go but it would be very beneficial for the Canucks. Tampa also saves 2 million in cap

I think we’d be better off paying Seattle a 1st+more to take Johnson. We are weak at RHD and losing Cernak would really hurt.

yeah they can expose Mcdonah. seattle is not taking that contract. just like weber in MTL or Suter in MIN

Not a chance the bolts protect McDonagh! They go 4-4.
Stamkos, Kucherov, Point, Cirrelli, Hedman, Sergachev, Foote, and Cernak.
Pray Seattle takes McDonagh.

I would be shocked if there were as many deals with Seattle. Gms are better off to say take your 1 guy out of 2 or 3 good players than lose a solid nhler plus picks or prospects.
Anaheim wanted to protect Vatanen so bad they traded Theodore to do it. Pretty big whoops. Same with Minnesota, Columbus.
