My guess would be Samberg as Heinola is younger and has already showed he is at the cusp of being NHL ready

If the trade happened right now today I’d say yes to Ekholm for Samberg + 2nd. If NSH wants a 1st we slide samberg to Chisholm and add a guy like Nathan Smith. Honestly teams are going to be careful trading for a guy like ekholm, only 1 year after this. Likely gets close to what martinez got, but add a bit more considering he’s the better dman.

honestly Samberg and a 2nd is fair as I dont know if Samberg is still labelled an A prospect but Nashville could build around him Josi, and Ellis in the future. Probs could happen at the deadline in April

He should be considered an A prospect. The guy is really good and him and Heinola are going to tear up the ahl this year. He can play both sides too. He’s only 21, but he plays like a man already. Those years in college helped him a lot. I was shocked that he didn’t make the opening roster, although I shouldn’t be considering Maurice loves running the tire fire beaulieu as the 3LD.
