Not sure what the incentive is here for the Oil. Ennis is a far more useful player for a team like the Oil in a tight playoff push down the stretch.
Copenhagen liked this.

Oilers do NOT need any more right shot players. Left shot yes.

I think the ship has sailed on Haula.
I have to imagine they made a play on him. He clearly wasn't interested in it. I don't think they trade for him because of it.
It's not like the guy made a ton of money. He didn't. The difference between any offer and what he got was probably nothing.
So I wouldn't expect a whole lot teams he spurred to pursue him.

I still think they need a center either way. I just knew Haula was going to be somewhat available and thought it made sense from a cost and cap perspective.

oh they do need a center. Hell they needed one this offseason. I agree the fit would have been a good try. But that ship has past. They got to find a better option.

I think the problem they have is they are stuck in-between. They want to play the buzzsaw line as much as they can, so that other line won't get a ton of ice time. So what do they do with it.
It looks like they are trying to view it as a defensive line/pk line. But they need more than that. But who can they get who will come do that for 8-10 minutes a night?
