Yeah I think Winnipeg thats been starved for a long term solution at that 2nd center isn't gonna move pld

The idea I had behind this is that Danault would sign a wtv contract (maybe 5x5) to play 2nd line C since Stastny is most likely gone as a UFA this offseason... and then Perfetti wld take over the 2nd line duties once he's ready. Which at that point the jets cld either keep Danault but play him in their 3 hole behind Scheif and Perf or trade him in like 3 years when he'll be 30ish for a pretty decent return as he'll be an even more established top-3 defensive center in the league by then

Dubois was brought in to be a long term 2C, maybe even take over as 1C. It’s a fun move but if the Jets wanted a top 6 winger they would have just kept Laine

Yeah but now your guessing danault will resign while you have dubois signed already and there. Not worth it
