LA declines.

1. Byfield is untouchable, even for Eichel.
2. Brown currently leads the West in goals and has been the Kings best winger for 4 straight seasons now.
3. Doughty has been very good this year. Maybe not $11M good, but he's playing his best hockey in 4+ years.
4. That 1st will be a lottery pick.
5. Eichel is a fantastic player, but Skinner has hugely negative value.

Change Byfield to Turcotte, Brown to Carter, lottery protect the 1st, and remove Skinner from the trade and the Kings might consider it. Doughty probably invokes his NMC though, so it's all moot.

Hard decline from the Kings, without mentioning they probably aren't the ideal trading partner to move Eichel, and certainly not if Doughty for Skinner is part of the trade. Kings have cap space, center depth, and a high potential top 10 pick in this upcoming draft. The Kings are already set for success without Eichel and giving up so many assets and taking on negative assets makes zero sense. This move would get any GM fired.

Why on earth would Kings accept that?

I'm pretty sure the Wild would rather have the 3rd than Thompson.

Sabres will not package Skinner with Eichel and also Crosby would reject coming Buffalo

Don't have much to say on most of those but what is that Kings trade!?

Salary dumps on both sides, stars on both sides. Strange trade. Doesn't make sense.

Doughty also has huge negative value. He hasn't been very good this year either, not even close. OPs trade is off but your trade suggestion is even worse lmao.
