There isn't much difference between Foltgno and Mikheyvov...except their salary. The current edition of Bonimo is a huge downgrade from Kerfoot. And you want the Leafs to add a first. Wow so bad for the leafs, Its 2021.

That said, I am not against either of those players being added, but it'd be really hard for me to part with Mikheyev who is a beast on the PK and just needs to refine his shot a bit and the goals will start rolling in (IE. selling low on him). Nice try but I have to agree that TOR would not do this because they are paying far too much.

The $3 retention is a little low. At least make it $6 so you can get a coffee and donut with the savings.

Trouble is with that theory, is the Leafs are at the cap, and would have to send an cap back in a trade. So it's difficult for teams at the cap to trade picks only. Now if an expensive Leafs goes on LTIR, then cap. could be cleared for the new addition.

But I agree with you, Leafs are running smoothly (mostly)....only a difference maker needs to added if possible.
