Caufield

Created by: Price_is_the_goat
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 19, 2021
Published: Feb. 19, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Can Caufield perform like Debrincat and score almost 30 goals in his first season with the habs? Or will he need time in the AHL? Will he better than Debrincat? The reason I compare him to debrincat is because both of them are the same size, weight, and shoot the same side. IMO Caufield has the better shot of the 2, but its yet to be seen in the NHL. What are habs fans thoughts on him? Please keep the discussion civil.

Im not a Habs fan but I go to Wisconsin so i watch most games. Last year I wasn't too sure he would translate well because he didn't really have that good of hands and his speed was a little lacking. But let me tell you, this year hes a whole different player. He's fast, he's got dangles, and his shot is as clean as ever. I still like Debrincat as the overall better player (okay maybe I'm a little biased) but Caufield is definitely going to be a player. Also, I know its easy to compare them, but you dont have to. I think Caufield has a better shot but I think Debrincat has developed his 2 way game pretty nicely, so if Caufield can do that then sky is the limit.

I think he could play today. The biggest thing will be playing him with the right players. He needs some good nhl playmakers like drouin or Tatar. I’d think you need one of those two on with him. Tatar-kk-caufield.

I’d like him to get a shot at the end of the season. Even with the quarantine he could play 12-15 games

How is Holloway looking? We never get to see him at all.

Hes amazing tbh. Hes fast, big and skilled... And hes a hard worker. Not as slick as CC but still an amazing player imo.

Vouch. Holloway is probably neck and neck with Caufield for our best player. Dude's got it

Thank you. I dont really care how Caufield is doing. Just Holloway. Its been talked about him being close to NHL ready, so just needed some opinions from people that watch him.

My trust is a 100% in Joel Bouchard to help him develop his game away from the puck. It might take some time away from the big club, but would pay dividend in the long run. I hate selfish unidimensional snipers.
