Ekholm to EDM was recently rumoured. With the long term injury of Klef, getting a Top 4 defender like Ekholm is a slam dunk fit. Alongside Rinne, Ekholm has built in chemistry with former NSH teammates Turris and Neal. Rinne would be a good 1B rental option behind Koskinen, fellow Finn who’ve played on the international stage together.

So we’re just gonna throw Mike smith (the goalie who is 4-0 right now) on the taxi squad? Hard pass. I like ekholm pickup though, just drop the 2nd and foresberg and change samorukov for benson and I like it. Or if we are gonna take Rinne we send mikko instead of foresberg and drop the 2nd

I gotta say, it's weird that part of your trade proposal includes a guy you plan on grabbing off waivers.

NSH wouldn't touch Koskinen, but if they were trading Rinne, Smith could be part of the return. The piece that NSH would want to be swapped out for something else is Jones. Their main motivation for trading Ekholm would be because they don't want to protect four defensemen in expansion.
