As good as Gio is, I don't see a need for TO to make this move. They don't need him and what Robertson could bring now and in the future is far more valueable to them.

Fair, this scenario I think would be more if Toronto was throwing everything into the middle for a cup run this year, get what you're saying though.

Gee, trying be a Leaf fan. First place, 2nd in league in scoring, 10th in GAA. but after every game, win or lose, it's not good enough. Need another scoring forward, need a top four Dman (at any expense)

Hahahah as good as this North division is having every single night of your season be a 4 point night may lower the life expectancy of Canada this year.

I think a forward would make more sense but even then I just don't see TO paying a premium.

Gio's great and all, but that trade doesn't really make sense for the Leafs.

What is one forward in the league that you think puts TO over the top this year, whether it be a bottom six guy that fits perfectly or a premium scorer, whatever it may be, what in your opinion is the absolute best piece the Leafs could acquire?

That Gaudreau trade is lopsided. That is too much to give up for 1.5 years of Gaudreau

Fair enough, tried to base it around the Pacioretty deal to Vegas, as good as Byram is the D in Colorado is stacked to the teeth and one of them becomes expendable at some point when ELC expire. Byram may be a bit too big of a bite in this deal but who would you guys slot in there?

timmins is the best prospect i'd be willing to move. if gaudreau had more term it would be a different story.

Colorado shouldn't touch that, not a trade the Leafs should do either.

Honestly I don't have much thirst to make a move. I think being healthy is what I want. The team looks good.

I don't mind that, obviously don't love it but term definitely effects a GAudraue deal with the thought that he goes to Philly, think I would want to see the pick bumped up or added to but I don't think it's out of this world to base a deal around Timmins.
