Would put EDM in an amazing situation in terms of F depth.

Umm, no. Just because we put Henrique on waivers doesn't mean we'll take Neal's contract.

Is it just me or did you just double the term remaining on Neal. I wouldn’t pursue this as an option

Oilers absolutely pass here... Henriques contract is worse... He's so up and down in terms of his production... If this is the year he drops off the Oilers would be worse off after this trade.. Turris has had a slow start to the season but he's still got time to find his groove, not to mention the 3rd we throw in for free... And Sonny Boy there.. has had 3 ok seasons.. oilers lose this trade

It's just you. Neal has two more years left, Henrique has three.

But your comment leads me to revise my earlier response, about taking on Neal's contract. You and @JmoneyTalk are absolutely right -- Neal's contract is worse. I stand corrected.

Neither player has much of a shot at living up to contract so I’d prefer to have the contract that’s easier to deal with one way or another. That’s what makes Neal the lesser of the evil. He’s a decent bottom six option isn’t currently hurting anything if the time comes while never ideal neals buyout isn’t that bad.
