i would love to add sanford but why benn? Lehtonen and sandin are our replacements and both of those guys are better then benn

IMO Lehtonen has not been good, and Sandin has a broken foot, was injured in the first game with the Marlies. The Leafs will be adding a depth D, doesn’t have to be Benn. He’s played plenty of playoff games, tough, could be nice add.

Rosen could fill in and even Marincin before they go grab benn

If you truly think Sanford is a second liner LWer, the Blues don't take that trade. I don't see what the urgency is to acquire another LWer.

Even if this offer was good (ehh not really), the Blues aren't trading any forwards right now. Half our regulars are out injured.

Just another idea if they Dubas does want to add another top 6 fwd. I’m cool if they don’t, the depth is there once Robertson and Simmonds are healthy.

I'll let you in on a little secret: Many Blues fans are dimwits. And they simply MUST always have a whipping boy beyond all reason. Sanford is this year's easy target because he's in a scoring slump. However, he's dirt cheap, excellent in possession, bangs bodies and surely will come around offensively. Plus, Chief loves him because he makes a lot of the little plays that don;t always get noticed (or, never get acknowledged by the whipping boy crowd).

I'm guessing Gunnarsson is the first one out the door when Tank returns, as we have plenty of able reinforcement in case he leaves. If that won't fly (and I suppose there's a chance it won't), well then maybe they try dealing Sanford. Personally, I'd rather ship out Blais than Sanford.

I mean, I'd trade him for a bag of pucks but a 3rd is realistic
