This gives FLA a top 6 C with excellent defensive skills to help them in a playoff run and for years to come. Mete gives FLA a solid NHL D with top 4 upside. Lundell on the other end could turn out to be some sort of Danault with better scoring abilities.

FLA probably says no, unless there’s an extension for PD. Lundell should be a great 2C fit there.

No reason for FLA to even consider this. If they want Danault, just try to sign him as a free agent — no need to give up Lundell.

They wont have him for the playoffs... Just think about Pageau last year

FLA isn't moving Lundell, especially considering Barkov is UFA next year.

Here’s some questions for Florida.

Can they sign barkov AND huberdeau?
If they can’t, do you want danault to try and win a cup, or try to build around lundell?

You do know that Phillip Danault already turned down a 6 year $30 million offer from the Habs right? So no freaking way he signs for 5 years $26.25 million with Florida. And there's no freaking way i'm dealing Anton Lundell for a pending UFA that i can sign for free come free agency time.

Lundell isnt that kind of player tho... Hes been great in FIN but he doesnt project as a top C able to put 70pts plus. The reason I want him is because he could potentially play next year and bring some defensive skills and faceoff skills while being on his ELC. Obviously, if we didnt have cap issues, Danault would stay for sure imo.

Then why did NYI paid 3 picks for Pageau last year?

I should have clarified. Let’s say Lundell is a 2-way 2c. That helps a lot. Then you get a top centre in a draft coming up (if) the big boys walk. Now you have a good 1-2 punch for years

Because obviously Lou wanted Pageau bad enough to give up the picks for him, What has Danault done that he's worth the #12 overall pick in Anton Lundell and a 3rd round pick? Danault best season is what 53 points or there about he's hardly a 2C and Lundell will probably be better then Danault anyways.

Not saying Florida should. do the deal, but why should Montreal. Trading two NHLers for futures shouldn't be happening for a team that hopes to reach the Final Four

Danault had over 50 pts last year wtf you saying... And MTL is the team taking a risk here since Lundells ceiling s pretty close to Danault...

Wow so he had one season of 53 points my bad, he's still not worth a #12 overall pick. he's a freaking pending UFA for pete sakes.

Zero chance Cats make this trade. They have to resign Barkov and Huberdeau in the next couple season and need Lundell for the number 2 center spot.

Not saying they take this but the point is to try and win a cup before they walk. They might stay but that’s no where near a guarantee
