Probably Reichel. Higher draft petigree and he's looked good in europe this year. He has the same amount of points in the DEL as stutzle had last year in the same amount of games.

Yeah he had great stats last year too. I actually said it way before the draft that Reichel was gonna go 15-20. I’ve been a fan . Just wanted to see if Kurashev would overtake him with this hot NHL start

If I had an interest in Eichel this would be the package. I just think its better to start a new window rather than try and extend the old one. I know Eichel is better than anyone on this roster other than Kane, but Dach has real potential to be a 1c, Reichel has solid top 6 potential, and who knows what the 2022 pick becomes. But look at what this does to our cap situation. I wouldnt trade for Eichel fully knowing Toews isnt coming back, and if Toews does come back then we are in the same spot Toronto is but two of the players are 10 years older. I just dont think Eichel fits in our plans.

I would say they are close, simply because Kurashev has proven his NHL translation and Reichel hasnt, but I think in terms of potential Reichel has a higher ceiling. I'm excited to watch them both develop though

I think that's solid. I like Dach and Reichel seems like a very interesting prospect. The first one in 2022 also makes sense, it should be a strong and deep draft. But I'm a little greedy and I always want more, so I would ask for a prospect like Saarela, but this is mostly discussed, a good base is already there.

hawks are very high on both guys don't get me wrong. Both are viewed as pieces to the future top 9 of the hawks offence, but if we can use one to get eichel I think you do it

yeah if you want sarella or like a 3rd rounder of whatever to tip the scale thats fine, but I think the basis of this trade os very strong for both sides. Fans of both teams seem to really like this trade based on the comments in this post

Agreed. If Toews retires this trade makes a ton of sense, and I really do think that it would work cap wise if he came back. All that would change is we wouln't sign Hoffman and would have plenty of cap to bring Toews back to the active roster. I would rather have Toews than Hoffman anyways. Assuming things get back to normal and the cap rises again, the hawks should be able to manage bridge deals on the young guys and toews/kane/kieth/seabs will be off the books when these guys start making big money

Yes, this is a good futures package, if we trade Eichel, it definitely should not be for players older than Jack or who have a short term, we will have to accumulate a lot of picks and prospects in other trades, including building around this.

Rather keep Dach, players like him are hard to find, and I believe he's going to be a Scheifele or Getzlaf. Plus Dach will be our #1 center in a few seasons and Reichal is doing very good in the DEL right now.

Maybe if Toews doesn't come back but losing Dach, Reichel and the 2022 1st (deep draft) is loosing 3 core pieces for one even if it is Eichel. Look at Buffalo or Edmonton to see what things look like when you are top heavy with a 2, 3 or 4 players. It was the Hawks problem as to why they couldn't fill out their own roster with more balance the last 5 years plus years and with the cap being flat next year for sure and probably not go up much in 2 years, we need to watch the cap hits carefully until Toews, Keith, Kane are up for new contracts while Dach, Strome, Boqvist, Beaudin, Suter, Kurashev, Lankinen need new ones in the next 2 years.

What the Hawks #1 priority should be right now is finding a young LHD player or prospect and moving only a key piece if needed to get one and btw, Beaudin is not it. He's looking good but he's realistically a #3 defender not a #1 or #2. We desperately need to find a replacement for Keith, Keith is playing too many minutes and coughing up the puck too much. If we can trade Strome, a first, Nylander or any combination of those guys to pick up a younger player or prospect ready to break through, that's the route to go.

I’m not sure what we would do other than maybe trade you to #1 for power. If the sens get #1 they might trade back. They have chabot on the left and just took Sanderson 5 oa last year

giving up the future for Eichel is not the way to go, Eichel already makes $10,000,000 per year. We can't have 3 guys at $10,000,000 especially with so much other money tied up in Keith and Seabrook.

Hawks need to run with the younger guys .. sure it would be cool to have a line of Eichel and Kane but how's Eichel and Hall working out?
We got 3 cups since 2010 .. I'd rather slowly build up again and have multiple years of deep playoff runs then watch the Hawks finish in the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th spot because they can only afford 1 good forward line.
