Team Explanation
So this is really out there but I just wanted to imagine it.

If Price agreed to waive his NMC (he is being outplayed by Allen maybe he agrees to it) would Seattle even take him?

I traded Gallagher because I think MTL will come to regret his contract - he is the 3rd best RW on the team now and yet he will be the highest paid, and Caufield could potentially surpass him as well.

Podkolzin could be a bigger version of Gallagher for MTL down the road, Beagle and Roussel are cap dumps however Beagle provides some center depth and roussel brings grit I nothing else.

This is all hugely hypothetical, just doing it for fun.

With the way Gallagher plays that contract isn't gonna age well. I'd rather have Podkolzin who projects to be a similar player anyways

    SEA ain't taking Price.

Francis ain't that big of an idiot.

He's a great goalie yes, but that contract is an anchor which will not end in a happy tone.

Even if SEA doesn't take Price, this just proves the point that MTL needs to get Price to waive his NMC for the expansion draft so they can protect Allen, because SEA would most definitely take Allen.

It seems so obvious around the league that Price is no longer one of the top goaltenders, but it is lost in MTL even though the difference in GSAx between Allen and Price so far this season is 9 goals in favour of Allen. MTL needs to play Allen until he gives them a reason not to play him.

That makes sense, I want Podkolzin because I see similarities in Gallagher, so why wouldn't VAN just keep Podkolzin?

I'm just playing off Gallagher's history with the Vancouver giants and the fact that he is NHL proven whereas Podkolzin is not.

There are probably better fits out there for Gallagher.

I dunno about that. After checking out the D-men available in the ExD, MTL probably has one of the best ones available. My guess is that they might actually be taking either Edmundson or Chiarot.

As for goalies, my guess is that they're going to take 3 out Khudobin, Vanecek, Ingram and Berdin.
