I hate to admit it but I’ve thought of that flames deal a fair bit makes sense for both sides financially and positionally. It becomes a bit murky with expansion draft but still an idea both teams could consider.

That's a hard no for me on that Leafs trade. Puljujarvi, though he has found his game this season, is a significant downgrade from Nylander and the 'benefit' for the Leafs is essentially bettering their 3rd pair, whether by playing Bear there or by him pushing Holl down. Not worth it.

EDM does not want Gaudreau under any circumstance. He is a one dimensional player that fades away when the games get hard. Also he is headed to Philly as soon as he is a free agent.

Also JPJ is only starting his career, there is no telling how good he can get and the Nylander contract is terrible.
