Im not sure Habs have assets to pull Eichel trade off. Like you would need Suzuki+Romanov+1sts and Im not sure Habs do that.

100%. Montreal HAS the assets, but it's pretty unlikely that anyone would be happy with giving them up.

If you're making an eichel trade you pretty much need to keep adding your best young players until you say to yourself "he's not even worth it anymore" then add a couple 1sts after that

Problem is Habs willing to mortage alot of young talent and picks to get Eichel? Suzicki, Romanov, maybe a Tatar and at least 2 1st are probably what Dabres would want. Not sure MB is willing to give up that much. Byron in the deal is not going to fly because you unloaded cap on them and in a deal like this I doubt they want dead weight.
