Hawks move up to get Owen Power. Ottawa has Chabot already at LD and just took Sanderson #5 last year. They also just took Klevin #44 last year and Tychonik #48 the year before that. It could make sense for them to move back if they don't want to take another LD

OTT doesn't do this trade. They're not winning this year or next. They're best served the trust the process. Get another potential elite piece.

If Ottawa is picking 1st and don't want Power, they can just take Clarke. I don't think the gap between Power and the rest of the field is that large.

Agree, none of the players are projected to be elite. The field among the first 8 picks or so is pretty even with most projected to be a top line player potential but none elite or even franchise players.

I don't think Reichel will be ready to jump into the NHL at such a young age. He probably needs another year in the AHL.

doesn't matter what position the #1 overall prospect is .. you draft the best player available and figure it out. If I'm Ottawa I'd rather have 3-4 true stud dman and maybe then trade 1 for a forward upgrade. Why take back a crappy Dylan Strome, mid 1st and mid to late 2nd?
