Rationale

From Toronto's perspective
- They essentially get TWO serviceable players for 1
- create depth on the 2nd and 3rd line (which would trickle down to the 4th)

From Nashville's perspective
- Accumulation of 1st round pick(s) - this would get them another
- young cost controlled player in Nylander
- Liljegren can develop into a good dman (especially in NASH)
- Barabanov will likely not work in Toronto (but in Nashville who knows)

Toronto's Lineup would be very very strong and balanced

Thornton - Matthews - Marner
Forsberg - Tavares - Kerfoot
Hyman - Granlund - Mikheyev
Simmonds - Spezza - Boyd

extras = Engvall, Petan, Robertson

Vesey - would/could be shipped out to save another 900k - that could be used more efficiently elsewhere
- even Engvall could as well (if it meant getting another significant piece)

Nylander is better than both Forsberg and Grandlund while being younger, and Liljegren and a first on top of him just makes this deal look even worse. IF Toronto would be willing to trade Nylander for Forsberg and Grandlund only expect Toronto to throw on a B level prospect and one or two mid round draft picks to complete the deal.

This trade is atrocious for Toronto. Actual death for Dubas.
