Except it won’t look like that. One of Tkachuk or Stutzle has to go the other way to start the trade so therefore, your roster will look a little different.

The idea that you can get Jack Eichel and not give up Stutzle or Tkachuk is pretty hilarious.

The trade is very one sided. I won't get into that.

You think Brady is signing that long for that salary? I don't see it.

Folks, there are two, probably top 5 picks in this trade. Which Buffalo can use to get a top defenseman in 2021 and a top center in 2022. They get a good, young roster player in White, they get very good prospect in Pinto, a B-level prospect in Thomson, and a young center with offensive upside in Logan Brown. For a player who wants out of Buffalo.

Stop imagining the players you'd want to see Buffalo get in return for Eichel and think of what other teams have and would be willing to offer instead.

I didn't put that much thought into it. Just threw out a ballpark contract for a winger

The Sabres dont need a defenseman nor should they take the onus of drafting a player (especially in these covid drafts that have been scouted a tenth of what they normally would have been) as opposed to getting an established player. You want a franchise player, you address that teams needs, its simple.

colin white is the same age as eichel and isnt very good and has an awful contract.
Pinto is a good prospect, but underwhelming as the best non draft pick asset in the trade for jack eichel.
logan brown sucks. he was drafted 5 years ago and has 9 career points.

It starts with Stutzle or tkachuk and you add from that. Every single person disagrees with you. you are wrong. learn from this. be better

"The sabres don't need a defenseman", lmao what are you talking about? They need more than *1* good defenseman. The defensemen at the top of this year's draft are still playing. And the other teams in the league don't have to meet Buffalo's needs, they just have to outbid the other teams.

Colin White's actually been very good this year and his contract would hardly be one of the worst on the sabres.

Pinto would immediately be your 2nd best prospect after Quinn.

Logan Brown is a throw in lottery ticket. He's dominated at the AHL level.

and the Sabres are being given two arguably top 5 picks.

The people who thought Casey Mittelstadt would be a star are disagreeing with me

The Sabres defense, even after losing its top pair, is still top 10 in the league

that is insane. I will grant that Dahlin is good, if not underwhelming, and then they have a couple of arguable NHL quality defensemen. Even Ottawa has a better group on defense than Buffalo lol.

buffalo has played a strong defensive system for almost 2 seasons now.

very poor goaltending from hutton (ullmark was hurt last year) and almost no even strength scoring has been our downfall.

buffalo also has plenty of defensive prospects.

why dont you step away from this thread. knowing when to take a loss is a good life skill.

eichel is a young player put him on the right team and he could be a hall of famer hes an first round pick and a top ten forward in the nhl and he is super young its not even close still

Buffalo's got a couple of young warm bodies, if you want to call them prospects. Frankly, Lassi Thomson would come in as your arguably best D prospect. Having a "strong" defensive system does not mean you have great defesenmen, and your "strong" defensive system has done a "strong" job of contributing to your star forward wanting out of town. Maybe you guys should try comparing your team and prospects to the rest of the league.

Any player that needs to be on "the right team" to be a hall of famer, is not worthy of the title "hall of famer". I like him, he's definitely a top line center, which is why the return is so large

Maybe the sabres will finally be able to build a team around the 2022 1st round pick they get from Ottawa in this deal.
