Relax. Calgary isn’t really going anywhere this year anyway. A day to day injury shouldn’t be reason for despair.

He is 0-3 this season but most recently played Saturday so he isn't cold

Solid. Average. That kind of thing. He kinda only has one good season, and that season wasn’t anything to write home about. I know goals against average is a stat that is going to have a heck of a lot to do with the team in front of him, but come talk to me when he manages to get under 2.5, or crack the .920 threshold for a season. If a .918 with a 2.75 is your outlier good season, you aren’t an elite NHL goalie.

I mean, this is pretty objective. He lets in more goals, and saves a lower percentage of shots than elite goalies. It’s kinda like the sharks crowd saying that hertl is an elite scorer. He just isn’t.

Hellebuyck hasnt had a 2.5 GAA or better in 4 seasons, is he not elite either?

1. Yes, he actually has.
2. He’s had a save percentage higher than .920.

I’m just asking for one or the other. Either be saving a higher percentage of shots, or don’t let up a lot of goals. Pick one.
