Not a CBJ fan, but I'd say Johansen makes more sense. He never wanted to leave in the first place, is younger and will likely cost less.

Duchene has more upside and would thus cost more, but not much because he hasn't been good this season.

I don't know how CBJ fans feel about him, but I would if Domi for Duchene could work? Doesn't seem like Max has been a great fit

You’d have to think they go with Johansen as they did draft him. But it all depends on what it would cost for either of them.

I don’t think it would cost that much. Way way less than what Forsberg or Arvidsson would cost.

man he was so pissed about that basketball court. I don't know. That's the kind of thing where you're like...nah, I'm not going back.

Johansen was pushed out of CBJ by Torts. Doubt he does that again.

why would you want either back? both are grossly overpaid for the little production they bring. Also Duchene is a loser, he was a loser in Colorado, he was a loser in Ottawa and now a loser in Nashville.

because they could be cheap to acquire. If Columbus can send some salary back , along with a decent prospect and a pick , could be a win.

it's an $8,000,000 cap hit. cheap to acquire sure but now you're tied to a 40 point man for $8,000,000 per year.
    cap flexibility is better
