No to the Philly trade. MN is better off with Dumba and Rask over Ghost.

They could make a similar offer for Dvorak from their own prospect pool if they wanted.

Sure. Just thought that ExD wise this would favor all teams included. All of them could go 7-3-1 after the exchange and all of them gain a player in position of need.

Creative. I’ll give you that. Def works out the expansion issues but takes ARI top C with no replacement, only niggle I can see.

They need picks though and aren't most likely anywhere near contending.

They could roll with Schmaltz-Hayton-Larsson-Bunnaman as their centers.

I just want nothing to do with Ghost.

They just sent Hayton to the AHL. The Coyotes are in a weird spot right now, I think they can be the 4 seed in the West so I’m not sure they’d want to give that up.

Tbh no one wants him, but I do think same applies to Rask.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he's back in NHL in next two days or so. The cap circumventing teams go through now is quite insane.

I don't want to trade Rask right now, actually. Zucc/Rask/Kaprizov is working too well to split up so far.

That's fine. Even a bad player can do well if they find good linemates and chemistry together. That's a relatively interesting euro-line there.

As a not avid follower of things in ARI, I wouldn’t be either. The article I read made it sound like he’ll be there for a while.

For the record, any post that gets Wild fans to say Rask shouldn’t be moved is a victory IMO so good work there.

More just awful team construction by the GM where Rask is the best option to play as a top-6 center.

Either that or Fenton was actually a hockey genius and GMBG is just reaping the rewards of that. Confused

I'm honestly impressed, if Wild aren't careful Rask just might have value again.

It's like found money for Minnesota, both Zuccarello and Rask playing well. Who knew it just took a young future superstar from Russia to make that work.

What would it take for the Wild to acquire Hayton...pretending/assuming he’s available?

Good question, but knowing that ARI needs youth and/or picks, it'd have to be a prospect swap.

Probably Boldy+1st or something like that.

That should probably be the ask, but I’d counter with a 1st and Khovanov. I’d really like to see Boldy wear a Wild Sweater so I’m a bit biased.

Khomanov's a bit too meh prospect considering we're dealing with a 5th overall pick. ARI would probably be better off by just keeping Hayton.

Interesting proposal I'll give ya that - but PHI would decline I believe. Losing two defencemen (one being a young one with good potential) and a first for Dumba hurts the d-core more than aids it. Would be interesting to get something done between these teams though, I think a few tweaks could really help everyone.

Yeah, the match just isn’t there. ARI is only gonna move him if it’s a definite win for them and the Wild need to do that too.

Dumba for Frost, Ghost, and a pick. Tell Chuck to make it happen.

I agree with all above it’s an interesting proposal but it’s not quite enough quality to get Dvorak. But first round pick and young RD and a replacement center is the blueprint the coyotes would be looking for.
