Seeing Detroit is stocked with RHD I doubt they would want another one. Hronek, Stretcher, Seider and Lindstrom are all RHD, we need a LHD and that is not Risto, plus that 2nd will be in the top 5 in the 2nd round. So no thanks

Seattle would want a heck of a lot more than a 2nd to take Okposo...

Side note: Is Okposo the worst player in the NHL right now?

Rasmus Ristolainen isn't worth basically a late 1st round pick on top of a 3rd and 5th round pick, So Detroit easily passes. Detroit's 2nd only gets moved to go up into the 20's not for player positions we do not need.

Nah, that belongs to Skinner

That skinner contract is horrid. Rangers don’t do this without it being a much larger trade including eichel or cozens. Which you will say you don’t want to do which makes that trade moot. Especially since rangers can’t take on that much cap without Buffalo taking some back as well

The Rangers can't even do it in an Eichel trade, considering they'd be taking 19m in cap back. Besides Dahlin, who's about as untouchable as it gets, I don't think the Sabres have an asset appealing enough to take on the Skinner contract. Probably even at 50% retained, though that would be at least a little more realistic.

The buyout isn’t terrible but it just lasts so damn long lol.
But still, that’s negative value right there. Like I said, only way rangers can take 19m is if they give up close to it. So kreider would also have to waive nmc, Zibanejad would have to be in the deal, and so would Strome/ADA most likely (in addition to a kravtsov or Lundkvist and a 1st)

With Ottawa and Detroit rebuilding you aren't going to aren't going to get that kind of return from those players. If I was Buffalo I'd keep Skinner and the 2nd over Strome and a 5th unless you have Panarin. Friedman said yesterday on NHL Now he wouldn't expect Nashville to move Josi, Ellis, Forsberg or Rinne. He went as far to say that people inside the Predators origination feel that Rinne will stay in Nashville until he retires.

Fair. Need to play the guy in the offensive zone once in a while.

Risto is worth a lot more. Considering how well he’s played this year
