Description

This is just for fun, no I don’t think any of these will happen, yeah I think the value is close on all of them, and yes, this would make Edmonton the favourite to come out of the North this year.

Buffalo gets a haul for Hall. They are too far from the playoffs, and no contract extension is reached. Hall reunites with the team he was originally supposed to turn from a lottery team to a contender, and the Sabres add two former first round picks to their C pipeline, as well as an upgrade in net and another 1st.

With Ekholm listed by Poile as “touchable” (paraphrasing) EDM should be a perfect fit with Klefbom out for the year. Sure they’d have too many LD next year, but is that really a problem? Play one on the right, or trade off Nurse if he won’t resign. Preds get a good F prospect and a top 60 pick.

Replacing Koskinen was tricky, but I went with Elvis. He would be an upgrade now and in the future, and CBJ was willing to deal one of their goalies as recently as a few months ago. Kekalainen gets a player that will make Torts happy (Russell) and one that will make Laine happy. He would also live his dream of having all three picks after Matthews (sort of). Throw in a 3rd because why not.

Kind of ran out of ammunition to get Palmieri, but a 2022 1st should do the trick if the devils fall out of the playoffs. He’d reunite with Hall to form a deadly top line.

As an Oilers fan I don't think it's worth it giving up all that for a deep playoff run, I'm not convinced this team, especially the goaltending can bring home a cup. They should play their hearts out with the team they have, plus maybe a trade by the TDL if Holland can work some magic and pull off something good, and the use all the cap space they have this offseason to sign UFAs that make then deeper and at the same time keep all there assets they would otherwise be losing here

This team isn't really any better than it is now. Hall isn't exactly lighting it up with Eichel so it may be a stretch to think he's going to be any better with McDavid, which is irrelevant because McDavid does it all himself anyways. You still have a terrible bottom 6 and your defence is weak. This isn't much different than what you currently have. Just better wingers for McDavid.

if i am the oilers i would give up yamamoto instead of puljujarvi. jesse as way more upside imo and is playing really well with mcdavid right now

For the Oilers to match the top team in their Division, they need a 3rd line and much better defence. Until they get that, they will continue to live and die by the hands of McDavid.

Hall is not right for mcdavid he doesn't bury the puck. Nuge kind of works because of his wrist shot but ideally they get somebody who can score and not pass the puck like hall does.

These trades obliterated literally all the forward prospects. That hall trade is not even a possibility. They are also not trading puljujarvi for merzlikins they would moreso trade a first round pick.
