He wasn't a healthy scratch. Ruff is switching players in and out alot so many players will end up being scratches. Gusev didn't play since the Devils were on a win streak and Gusev was one of the last players to get out of Covid.

Oilers accept. Butcher is better the Bear, Gusev has potential to round out the top 6. Kahun spot most likely

Gosh I would think so...

Gusev is kind of wild card though. He seems to have long adjustment periods. Very slow starts this year and last (new coaches/systems for him each time). So after 14-day waiting period, he'll probably get humming too late for impact this season.

That's true and i guess the same could be said for Butcher, would have to wait two weeks season will be over by then but this trade could be made in the offseason, contingent on Klefboms status and the Oilers right side, if they resign Larson's and Barrie and with Bouchard they could trade Bear but as t that point UFAs will be a plenty
